Two calendar options for the 2012-2013 school year at Lake County Schools were recently developed by the District calendar committee, and for the first time, the entire community is invited to select their favorite through an online poll.
Parents, students, employees and community members can review the two calendar options online before selecting their preferred option. With both options the school year is slated to begin Aug. 20. The first option has school ending May 31 with fewer days off around the winter holidays and Thanksgiving. The school year is completed on June 5 in the second option with longer breaks around the holidays.
